'Black and Golden' launches Aug. 5

This book commemorates the National Association of Black Journalists' 50th anniversary Dec. 12, 2025.

In 1975, 44 men and women created an organization that has grown to 4,000-plus members and partners that influenced, even transformed the news industry.

Wayne Dawkins' third volume of the NABJ Story includes nine contributor essays and an almanac-style narrative that chronicles the association's place in the 21st century.

The Cleveland convention is Wednesday, Aug. 6.
